August 28 Updates
We have three birthdays this month. Mary Kay was August 5th, Rick was August 10th (Sunday), and Jackie is August 28th. If anything comes up between our meetings, please contact me and I will add to our notes. See you Sunday!
1) August 31 - Choir is singing “Here in this House” at the 10:20 service.
2) September 7- Choir is singing “God So Loved the World” at the 10:20 service.
3) September 13 - Our Christmas music kick off- 9:30 AM to 2 PM. This would be a great time to ask friends to join our choir family. Please make every effort to attend.
4) September 17 - Moving day for John. No choir practice that night.
5) September 28 - Evensong (There will not be a recital with this one, it will only be an Evensong Service). “Oh, My Soul”, “Still Small Voice” and “Magnificat” will be part of the program. Please be in the choir room, robed at 4:15 pm to rehearse. The program will be in the Chapel at 5:00 pm.
6) December 10th - Dress rehearsal for Christmas “Lessons in Carols”
7) December 11th and 12th - “Lessons in Carols”. Please put these dates on your calendars and let your friends know.
Reminder: Brian has set up a special access code for us to enter the building during off hours when we have special events, practices, Evensong, etc. The door closest to the offices on the West side has a keypad. Our new code is 1119*. NOTE: this special codes only works on Sunday mornings and for special choir events.

We are excited to welcome our new Alto to the choir family. Mercy Trahan is attending graduate school in Rogers and has joined us at Central United.
We are praying for the families in Minneapolis affected by the tragic shooting at the Catholic school, Annunciation.
Gail’s husband Bill needs our continued prayers. He has surgery scheduled for September 9th.
Liz’s brother Ed is having stem cell replacement due to multiple myeloma. Needs prayers.
John’s Botox injections have been postponed, again. Please pray that the procedure can be scheduled soon and be covered by insurance.
Miss Bonnie was with us for rehearsal. She let us know that Michael is not doing well. Please lift all of the family up in your prayers.
Jeanne Kennedy has moved to Jamestown rehab facility. She would appreciate prayers and visits. Good news that she is beginning to walk again.
We are so happy to have Jim Parr back with us. He has requested prayers for his surgery in two weeks.
Angel is having issues with her back.
Tom Ginn will be having Hip replacement surgery in January. Please pray for relief from his pain in the meantime
Continue prayers for Ritchie’s brother Bud’s cancer. Ritchie’s son has shingles and needs prayer for relief and a quick recovery.
James has requested prayers for his wife Cindy. She is having knee surgery in October.
We need travel mercies for Roberta and Mary Kay, while they are away.
