January 22, 2026 Updates

Important Announcement: Church services are cancelled January 25th. Please stay safe out there.

Saturday’s (Jan. 24) Easter Music Workshop has been rescheduled due to predicted weather conditions.

We will meet next Wednesday, Jan. 28th from 5-8:30 PM to preview the music. Dinner and prizes will be provided. Please make every effort to attend.

Also…please go to the top of the page and click on the “Scheduling” section. John and I have created a different format for this page that we think might be more user friendly. Let me know if you can access the new section, “Anna’s Notes”. We will be deleting this one.

-January 25th, the choir will sing “Praise Be to God” at the 10:20 service (Page 206 in the Oxford Book)

-February 18th - Ash Wednesday, rehearsal will follow the service

-February 22nd - Evensong

-March 29th, Palm Sunday

-April 1st, Dress Rehearsal

-April 3rd, Tenebrae

-April 4th, Easter Vigil

-April 5th, Resurrection Sunday

Please note that our special Choir access code has changed. The new code to access the door on the West side by the church office for special events is 7777*.

Please keep the following members of our choir family in your prayers:

  • Please pray for Melissa, Kevin and their family. Kevin’s position, along with others was eliminated in a company downsizing that occurred over the holidays. He is working hard searching for a new opportunity. Please let them know if you have any thoughts or connections that you might share. Pray that the right job will come along quickly; one that will allow them to stay in NWA and remain such a valued part of our church family.

  • Carolyn Pryor and Mercy have requested prayers for friends, Cissy and Miss Linda who are both going through cancer treatments

  • Chris Scott will have surgery on January 22nd for a pacemaker

  • Continue to pray for our country and wisdom for our leaders.

  • Ritchie, her brother Bud and their families need our prayers for strength and comfort as his health continues to fail.

  • The Pierce’s ask for continued prayers for 14-year-old Will who is struggling with vision issues related to his brain tumor.

  • Please continue to pray for healing and strength for Gail’s husband, Bill. He will be having another knee surgery January 20th.

  • Tom Ginn will be having Hip replacement surgery February 5th. Please pray for relief from his pain in the meantime.
